who these people are, and have the courage to believe it, we would never elect
Their entire agenda is power. Ask yourself: Why in the world is Barack Obama in
charge of Americans’ health care? What is
his experience, his education, in the field?
What are his talents, his abilities with
regard to medicine?
The answer is zip,
zero, nada. Did you
hear he wants to
launch a new Cabinet-level department?
Secretary of Business. I kid you not. We
already have a Secretary of Commerce.
What experience, knowledge does he have
when it comes to business? None. It’s
about power. It’s hubris, arrogance.
Liberals know better than you do. They
have an inherent distrust of ordinary
Americans, distrust of the private sector,
inherent distrust of the traditions and institutions that have made America great.

Liberals create these bubbles of phony
reality that they live in. These people have
theorized all their lives. They sit around
and whine and moan about everything
wrong with America. Capitalism’s horrible,
the private sector is filled with cheaters —
we’re the good people, you put us in
charge and all will be sweetness and light.
Put the government in charge, they say, the
government is us, we are compassionate,
we care, we know more than anybody else,
and we know better than anybody else. I’m
not exaggerating. They don’t have the
slightest idea how things really work in the
private sector. They just think government
is better and those in government — them-
selves — are better people. And so you put
them in charge, wonderfulness is automati-
cally going to happen. But all their theoriz-
ing and plans require compulsion to get
everyone else to obey them. Good-bye, free
