be good for growth, good for jobs, good for Americans. I’m really
confident he will get that done.”
Unemployment is a record low at 4.7 percent. The stock market
has experienced a “Trump Bump” of some 10 percent, and the U.S.
Consumer Comfort Index, which measures Americans’ confidence,
reached its highest level in a decade, according to Bloomberg. The
New York Times reported on 3/12/17 that after Trump was elected,
there was a surge in the small-business confidence index, as mea-
sured by the National Federation of Independent Business — “the
largest monthly increase since 1986.”
Despite political twists and turns, the end of Obamacare as we
know it is in sight — defying all the naysayers from the conven-
tional wisdom crowd. A first-rate conservative, Judge Neil Gorsuch,
The legislative roll-
back of Obama-era
rules and regulations
is underway. The debt,
according to the U.S.
Treasury, is down $101
billion since Trump’s inauguration; during
the same time frame, Obama increased debt by
over $400 billion.
Official bidding has begun for Trump’s 30-foot border
wall, reported CBS News on 3/20/17. And according to
Michael Barone, “Customs and Border Protection reported
that apprehensions of illegal crossings of the southern border in
February were down 39 percent from January and down 36 from
February 2016 … That’s a startling drop.”
All this in two months. Despite all the skullduggery and wiretap
wars and Deep State machinations, the Trump Administration is
changing the trajectory of the world. The global scaffolding the left
created, nurtured, and corrupted for generations is being taken apart
and rebuilt anew, while the elites shriek in fury.
“Trump in the White House may just be a monkey clutching
history’s biggest hand grenade,” sneers Matt Taibbi in “Trump
the Destroyer,” in Rolling Stone. Yet for some reason, “he’s always
one step ahead of us…” And that is the universal frustration of the
global governing class: “This Trump is a buffoon, an absurdity, a
joke — and yet, he is transforming everything, while we are
powerless to stop him.”
International agreements, especially on trade, will no longer assume Uncle Sam as sucker. Newt Gingrich explained it on Fox News on 3/19/17: “President Trump is going to be, like
Andrew Jackson, an intensely American President. He’s going to
represent American values, American interests … Of course the
world doesn’t like it, we are saying to the world: ‘Look, the
70-year-long process of being able to rely on American generosity
is over. We are now going to protect our economic interests in a
way we have not since before World War II.’ This is a huge
change … Literally all across the planet you’re seeing countries
that are suddenly saying, ‘What? You mean the American
President’s actually going to defend the American economy? Why,
that’s cheating!’”
The fact is, Trump has been pursuing this same coherent,
other countries.
So, all we did was
take his policies, turn it into
a budget, and that’s what you’ve
got. You have an ‘America first’ candidate,
you have an ‘America first’ budget.”
There are genuine cuts. Exactly what we’ve been promised
countless times before, that nobody’s delivered on! If we’re to
remain a superpower with a stable, growing economy, we simply
must excise some of the poisonous government. That’s
Conservatism 101.
Taking this on isn’t going to be pretty. It’s not going to be
sweetness and light. It means wresting power away from corrupt
forces and vicious people who believe power is their birthright.
Which is why those of you who voted for Trump need to be
grateful that he’s taking it to them — so America can lead again.
